THE PROGRAM

The Pittsburgh to Poland program offers six weeks of intensive beginning or intermediate Polish language study at the University of Pittsburgh’s Slavic and East European Summer Language Institute, followed by four weeks of instruction in Krakow, Poland.

 

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Referred to as the cultural capital of Poland, Krakow has become one of the top ten tourist destinations in Europe. The program includes excursions to Wieliczka salt mine, Zakopane in the Polish mountains, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Wawel castle and many other attractions. At the end of the program, students will tour Warsaw for three days. Informal meetings, gatherings, excursions, and trips with students in Poland are an integral part of the Polish experience.
